Can I make a claim for compensation?

As long as you have worked in a noisy environment after 1963.

I was supplied ear protection; does that mean I can still claim ?

Yes, provided that:
i) It was not provided when you were first exposed to noise or in 1963 which ever is the later.
ii) You were not made to wear it.
iii) It was ineffective at protecting you from noise.

I worked for more than one company where it was noisy does that matter ?

No.

I no longer work in a noisy environment does it matter ?

No.

Does it matter if I’m retired ?

No.

Does it matter that the company I work for no longer exists ?

No, the vast majority of claims are paid by the insurance company and not the company itself.

Who are the best people to pursue a claim ?
